Bastion Coffee: Branding the Ritual

Project Role: Creative Direction, Photography, Visual Identity
Mediums: Digital & Print Design, 35mm Film Photography, Brand Strategy
Location: Portland, OR

This project centered on building Bastion Coffee’s visual identity from the ground up—shaping how the brand looks, feels, and connects. From photography to brand tone, the work reflects the ritual of coffee as a moment of pause: something simple, honest, and a little rugged.

I was a leading team member in the development of brand visuals rooted in process and place—whether that’s early-morning roasting, hand-delivered bags, or the feeling of drinking something warm before the sun comes up. We used design and storytelling to turn a small-batch roastery into a brand that feels human, grounded, and intentional.
